Hi! I'm Louis Reingold, and I built Oxygen because I wanted complete, down-to-the-pixel control over the design of my website.

After building WordPress websites for almost 10 years, I knew there had to be a better way.

I was completely fed up with editing CSS, tweaking theme PHP files, and the never ending cycle of uploading and refreshing.

Page builders didn’t give me enough flexibility. Themes that claimed to be fully customizable were lacking.

And what if I wanted to style WooCommerce, Easy Digital Downloads, bbPress, Gravity Forms, etc? Then I had to fire up an FTP program, upload CSS files, etc.

I wanted to be able to control everything visually, right from inside WordPress. And I wanted to be able to see what I was doing, live.

So I saved some money, wrote some specs, and hired some developers. A year and a half later, Oxygen was born.
